How we verify every proxy

Read the full methodology
  1. 1

    Probe against independent judges

Each free proxy is connected through to neutral judge servers to confirm it actually relays traffic — not just that the port answers.

  2. 2

    Classify real anonymity

We inspect the forwarded headers (X-Forwarded-For, Via) each proxy leaks to grade it transparent, anonymous or elite.

  3. 3

    Cross-check location & speed

Geolocation is validated against MaxMind, WHOIS and TTL analysis, and we measure real response time and uptime.

  4. 4

    Re-check and prune

The active list is re-tested on a short cycle; honeypots, transparent leaks and dead servers are removed automatically.

Are free proxies safe? Read this first

Public proxies are operated by third parties, and traffic to the proxy is not encrypted at the proxy hop. Treat them accordingly:

  • Never send passwords, payment details or personal data through a free proxy.
  • Good for scraping public data, ad verification, checking localised content and general anonymity — not for banking, accounts or anything sensitive.
  • Free proxies are volatile: a working proxy can drop at any time. Re-test with our proxy checker right before you rely on it.
  • For business-critical or high-security work, a trusted paid provider is the safer choice.
  • Respect the law and each site's terms of service and robots.txt when using proxies.

We screen for honeypots and remove suspicious servers — see our verification methodology — but no free public proxy should be trusted with sensitive data.

Why use the ProxyVerity free proxy list

Tested, not scraped

Every proxy is probed against independent judges for status, speed and anonymity before it appears. Dead IPs never make the list.

Fresh every few hours

Active proxies are re-checked continuously and stale ones are removed, so the address you copy is live right now.

Filter to your needs

Narrow by country, protocol and anonymity, sort by latency or speed, and copy any IP:PORT with a single click.

How to use a proxy from this list

  1. 1

    Pick a proxy

Filter by type, country and anonymity, then choose one with high uptime and low latency.

  2. 2

    Copy the IP:PORT

Click any address in the table above to copy it straight to your clipboard.

  3. 3

    Set it in your tool

Paste it into your browser, scraper or app as the matching proxy type (HTTP or SOCKS).

  4. 4

    Verify it works

Run it through our free Proxy Checker before you rely on it.

Free proxy list — frequently asked questions

What is a free proxy list?

A free proxy list is a regularly updated set of public proxy servers you can use at no cost. Each entry is an IP address and port you route your traffic through to mask your own IP or appear in a different location.

Are these proxies really free?

Yes — every proxy on this list is completely free to use. We sustain the service through optional partnerships, never by charging for the list or selling your data.

How often is the list updated?

Active proxies are re-checked on a short cycle (about every couple of hours) and any that stop responding are removed, so the list reflects what is online right now.

Which proxy type should I choose?

Use HTTP or HTTPS for web browsing, scraping and API calls, and SOCKS4/SOCKS5 for other TCP (and, for SOCKS5, UDP) traffic. Filter by Type above to narrow the list.

Are free public proxies safe?

Public proxies are run by third parties, so never send passwords, payment details or other sensitive data through them. We screen for honeypots and remove suspicious servers, but for critical work use a trusted paid provider.

How do I check whether a proxy works?

Paste any address into our free Proxy Checker to test its status, latency and anonymity, or look up your current address with What is my IP.
